-Led the high-level architecture selection, technical design, system integration and manufacturing of Cal Poly Baja’s first all wheel drive vehicle - the eventual winner of the 2020 SAE 4WD design competition-Oversaw 50+ engineering students of various disciplines throughout the design, manufacturing and testing/validation of the vehicle -Established team goals and requirements via competition points analysis -Oversaw the development and implementation of subsystem goals based on vehicle level requirements, team goals and the completion of the engineering design cycle - advising on structural analysis, CAD modeling, design for manufacturability, serviceability and reliability -Developed documentation including descriptions of deadline expectations, team-wide Gantt charts to monitor milestone execution, modeling guidelines for best practices and descriptions of the assembly structure, subsystem lead expectations, design standards and design presentation outlines-Managed team wide communication, event organization, partner outreach and material ordering

-Collaborated on a full redesign the rear suspension system, driven by providing greater kinematic adjustability and increasing vehicle performance and stability. -Developed a low DOF quarter car model using MATLAB and Simulink to simulate and characterize system performance.-Designed and conducted kinematic testing and tuning to validate predicted performance and to select final geometric parameters for competition events.

-Oversaw mass production part design for a product subassembly, including fast paced and iterative detailed design/modeling, component integration and packaging, part drawings and tolerance analysis, inspection documentation and vendor collaboration-Supervised the mass production of parts in China throughout line bring up, fixture approval and subsystem assembly-Developed a MATLAB model to describe system kinematic performance throughout a range of geometric parameters, use cases and loading conditions used to select the high-level geometry of the corresponding product during proof of concept builds-Manufactured and assembled detailed prototypes throughout design iteration for testing and concept communication- Collaborated with various cross functional teams including, but not limited to, manufacturing and tooling engineers, design validation engineers, FEA consultants and quality engineers

-Assisted students with part design, assemblies and drawings in SolidWorks-Graded detailed drawings for accuracy of dimensions, GD&T and modeling practices
