I worked as a Vocational Counselor/Employment Specialist with WellPower. I was responsible in aiding around twenty individuals in gaining and maintaining employment that meets their personal and professional goals. I followed the Individual Placement and Support model, an evidence-based practice that follows eight core principles to help people with mental health issues to find employment.

At N.D. Streetbar, I greeted guests and took care of their needs. I took and prepared food and drink orders, always maintaining health and safety first. I developed rapport with many guests, and gained a number of regulars in the process. I collaborated with my front and back of house coworkers to ensure guest satisfaction in food, drink, and overall service.

I worked as a Front Desk Scheduler at ACP. I scheduled new and returning clients with one of our mental health providers that was the best fit for them and their needs. I greeted clients in person as well as over the phone, assisted with medical forms and records, and assisted providers with their schedules. I completed many of these tasks and more by using our electronic health record system, Credible.

I was a cashier at Fresh Thyme Market for a little under two years. My duties involved operating the cash register, including memorizing and entering in PLUs, scanning items, voiding items, and issuing coupons and rainchecks. I also greeted customers and ensure their satisfaction, bagged their items to their preference, handled cash, checks, gift cards, and helped with credit card processing. I also worked in the Liquor Store attached, where my duties include stocking product, checking identifications, operating the cash register, and helping customers find the right item for them. Around a year in, I was promoted to Self-checkout Attendant, where I assisted customers in using our self-checkout machines. I ensured that transactions were completed and that items rung up correctly. I also helped troubleshoot our self-checkout interface.

As a part of my study abroad program in Barcelona, Spain, I interned at Homeless Entrepreneur. My responsibilities included fundraising for their health department as well as researching social policy throughout Europe. I assisted in sharing information about the organization as well as increasing donations to the health department by 120%.
