I feel that an education is one of the most important things a child needs. Good education includes not only learning information, but also becoming good problem solvers and self-motivated, life-long learners. Each child should also learn the skills necessary to work productively, both alone and with others. It should also be recognized that each child is different and, therefore, each child learns differently. As a teacher it is my responsibility to ensure that each child is given the opportunity and information needed to become each of these things. I feel that the best way to achieve this is through the use of many different teaching styles in my classroom. I plan to make use of independent, cooperative, and hands-on activities. I believe that this is the only way to make sure each child is given a chance to learn and be successful each day.
