My experience revolves around two specific drivers: creating the most impactful instruction through rigorous assessment and classroom management, while coaching teachers to help students build and integrate the soft skills they need to be successful in a collegiate atmosphere.Establishing a culture where failure is an opportunity to learn and develop is one of the biggest tools both students and teachers have to drive their success. The key to leading this transformation is making sure that failure isn’t the only tool in their toolbox. Helping teachers turn setbacks into mile posts drives the success of those that create positive change for kids.As a science teacher I recognize the importance of data, both qualitative and quantitative. While numbers can be easily measured and commonly digested, how these numbers are used greatly affects the classroom culture and qualitative information gathered from students. This data takes grayscale pictures and adds vivid detail to create the success stories that inspire both students and teachers to their greatest heights.
