As a UX team member for VIM Fashion Magazine at Michigan State University, my role involved conducting user research to understand audience needs, collaborating with designers and developers to refine the website's usability, and contributing to the successful launch of the updated VIM website, ensuring an engaging and intuitive user experience.

With a staff comprised of students interested in advertising, graphic design, photography, finance, marketing, public relations, video production, social media, event planning, professional writing & editing, and more, there is truly a place for everyone at VIM. Our mission is to work collaboratively and efficiently to produce the best college fashion publication in the country. We hope to grow together creatively while providing our members with the legitimate experience and necessary skills to succeed in the highly competitive fashion and publishing industries.

The National Coalition for Community Capital (NC3) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a more sustainable economy. Our mission revolves around educating investors on the benefits of local investments, empowering entrepreneurs to access community capital for launching ventures, and advocating for policy changes to expand opportunities in Community Capital. As an intern who possesses a deep passion for economic resilience, community development, financial regulations, and education, I collaborate closely with the Executive Director on various communication initiatives within NC3. This includes tasks such as crafting compelling data visualizations to illustrate our organization's impact, designing engaging visuals for newsletters and website content, and actively contributing to the organization's broader objectives. Additionally, I have the opportunity to explore and develop my own interests within the organization's framework.

As a Regional Economic Development Research Assistant at MSU Center for Community and Economic Development in East Lansing, MI, my role involves assisting in the execution of innovative development projects through event planning, technical writing, and creating web-based educational media. I manage and enhance online networking and social media platforms to aid project promotion, conduct detailed research including survey design and analysis, and collaborate with various partners using my strong writing and organizational skills.

Michigan State University's CULTR magazine aims to showcase diverse cultural fashion and enable our members to creatively express their various talents through a variety of media. I am responsible for designing the monthly magazine releases while collaborating with the creative director, designing and creating the website and blog posts on the website, overseeing interns on the design team, continuously maintaining proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other relevant graphic design software.

As a financial aid professional, my main responsibilities include providing students and their families with clear and concise explanations of financial aid options, eligibility requirements, and application processes. I also assist students in completing financial aid forms, such as the FAFSA and other institutional aid applications. Working with other professionals in the field, I ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to student financial aid. Additionally, I maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and financial aid awards, while ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations.

As an assistant to Blaine Siesser, I had the opportunity to witness firsthand his remarkable talent for capturing natural moments with a spontaneous grace that conveys the simple beauty and elegance of a wedding. I was an integral part of his team, helping him to capture beautiful, spontaneous moments at weddings, helping him with setting up and adjusting equipment, coordinating with wedding planners and vendors, assisting with lighting and composition, and capturing candid moments during the ceremony and reception. I learned the importance of attention to detail and dedication to capturing the essence of each couple's special day played an important role in helping Blaine create his stunning and memorable wedding photography.

As a cooking instructor, I demonstrated and taught basic cooking techniques and food safety to children between the ages of 3 and 14. I created a fun and engaging learning environment for the children to explore their culinary creativity and encouraged teamwork and collaboration in the kitchen. In addition, I maintained a clean and organized kitchen space, ensuring that the children were aware of basic sanitation practices. My efforts resulted in high enrollment rates and repeat business due to the positive feedback I received from both children and parents.

In my role as a restaurant employee, I have consistently demonstrated excellent communication skills, both with kitchen staff and management, which has helped ensure smooth and efficient operations. I have successfully implemented established restaurant policies and procedures, including rigorous hygiene and safety regulations, which has contributed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all. When faced with customer complaints or issues, I have remained respectful and composed, resolving problems to their satisfaction. Thanks to my ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, I have consistently performed well under pressure, delivering high-quality work and contributing to the team's success.
