I elected to return to restaurant work even after landing a full time office job, purely because I missed it. I love making connections with tables and having tasks I can check off quickly. I consider my coworkers at Cosima to be great friends, and getting to eat homemade Southern Italian food is a great perk!

Volunteered to teach creative writing to incarcerated women at the Maryland Department of Corrections in Towson, MD. I was with a program called START: Striving to Achieve Recovery Together. I became the head volunteer, training other students and creating lesson plans. I also wrote a research paper revamping the program to run more efficiently.
