Perform curatorial collections management associated with the history, folklore, and material culture relative to western pioneers and Wyoming in particular as interpreted by the Pioneer Museum, Ft. Fetterman State Historic Site and Camp Douglas Officers’ Club State Historic Site. Responsible for all documentation associated with acquisitions, deeds of gift, insurance, condition and facilities reports, and collection inventory. Responsible for preservation and/or conservation of artifacts and structural features. Responsible for public programming and interpretation with the goal of increasing public awareness, access, and understanding of the Wyoming Pioneer Museum, Ft. Fetterman State Historic Site and Camp Douglas. Assist with organizing, installing and de-installing exhibits, and the development of new exhibit topics. Responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of public programs for students, (K-University), teachers, and the general public, which includes scheduling and organizing educational tours for schools and community groups that provide every student, teacher or visitor a high quality, interactive, and engaging experience whether on-site or through outreach programs. Implement outreach efforts by developing innovative connections with new audiences using traditional as well as social media. Scan images and documents. Use Photoshop to create new exhibits, graphics, and text. Provide research, reference services, and technical assistance to government officials, academic researchers, and the public. Serve as Volunteer Coordinator, managing site's volunteers to include recruiting, coordination, and evaluation of the volunteers. I am also responsible for posting on each of our three Facebook pages on a daily basis.
