At just six years old, my friend and I were rearranging the furniture in our room every weekend despite the heaviness of the furniture and the yelling from our parents. I also remember sitting in front of the tv screen with my mom and watching in awe as designers on HGTV would completely flip a house around. Flash forward to the present and I am still up at midnight watching HGTV while rearranging my room whenever I get struck by the creativity bolt. For the last 13 years, I have been more than certain of what I want to do for the rest of my life. My passion lies in Interior Architecture and Design.This passion has led me to Colorado State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design and a minor in Real Estate. Although watching HGTV and rearranging my room periodically has taught me a thing or two about space planning and design, the program at CSU has allowed me to further develop my creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and my time-management skills. These skills have been applied mostly through the biweekly projects I am given in school, but I have also had the chance to use them while space planning and decorating my own room as well as some of the spaces in my families’ houses. When I am not designing or working on a project, I can often be found playing the piano, singing, or playing soccer with friends. I also love to be around my family and enjoy having barbecues, playing board games, or being active outside with them every chance I can get.
