children's wear assistant designer and have a good understanding of the full design process from Trend forecasting and analysis, including feeding back trend information from trade shows, catwalks and inspirational shopping to CAD drawing, spec writing, sampling and then to stores. Working in the design industry has broadened my knowledge of the children's wear market, and highlighted the importance of catering the right product to the customer. I work efficiently and effectively under pressure both on my own and part of a team to achieve set deadlines keeping in line with critical path dates. I am skilled in using both Photoshop and Illustrator.Key roles and responsibilities include:▫️Support the research and development of seasonal design presentations including key trends, shapes, fabrics, graphic direction and colour palettes with the Design Manager and design team▫️Travel for inspiration. ▫️ Work closely with product development/ sourcing teams and develop supplier relationships▫️Regular store and competitor visits to carry out detailed analysis of the Customer, consumer and competitor ▫️Participating in range reviews & best & worst analysis meetings and assist on developing ranges accordingly.▫️Assist and design ranges with options given detailing the product required incorporating Good/Better/Best price structure. and present to managers and buying teams ▫️Create detailed design packs in Illustrator incorporating any supportive imagery and technical details to achieve right first time samples. ▫️Assisting with Range building ensuring the collection is well coordinated, colour and product balanced and also covers the requirements of the CE stores. ▫️Ensure critical path deadlines are achieved
