I lead Anchorage’s premier professional economic development organization with the mission of growing a prosperous, sustainable, and diverse economy through the implementation of the “Choose Anchorage” strategic plan.

At Anchorage Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), I am responsible for managing and supporting the successful deployment of strategies, programs and initiatives that promote the growth of a diverse, prosperous and sustainable economy. Anchorage is the city that I was born and raised in, and I'm dedicated to making it the number one city to Live, Work and Play in by 2030.

Managed administrative and field operations in 48 DMV locations statewide while focusing on encouraging partner growth and providing online services to reduce traffic in internal lobbies. Created a customer-focused environment aimed at creating an optimal customer atmosphere in a traditionally challenging environment, resulting in record high customer satisfaction scores. Provided functional management and establishing performance metrics that translated into meaningful insights for decision making and strategic planning. Contributed to the implementation of the Federal Real ID Act while cultivating strategic partnerships with Alaskan stakeholders to maximize outreach. Led initiative to rapidly augment business operations to support telework and remote service options in response to historic pandemic.

Provided vision and direction through a period of transition and successfully navigated change management by empowering management to collaborate with one another and interfacing with State of Alaska leadership, external stakeholders and over 140 employees. Engaged in legislative affairs by testifying to the Alaska State Legislature, liaised with media organizations and contributed to new legislation that advanced modernization of DMV’s mission. Expanded the scope of operations to engage with Alaskan stakeholders that were affected by the Federally imposed REAL ID law, which involved significant partnerships, educational outreach and communication across Alaska.

Member of Executive Management Team responsible for day-to-day oversight of business operations while simultaneously contributing to long term strategic direction and providing cross-departmental leadership in a dynamic technology company. Demonstrated the ability to increase revenues through successful negotiations with national providers and reduce costs by developing efficiencies in a regional installation operation.
