As a Medical Outreach Intern with Make-A-Wish, I reach out to families when they have qualified to get a wish granted! Part of my job allows me to connect with Wish families, receive their initial intake, and kick-off the wish granting process! Sending out family packets, performing medical outreach projects to increase referrals, and using Raiser's Edge to update constituency data are all normal tasks that I love to take part in!

As a Grad Assistant, I supervised the toddler room and encouraged positive guidance techniques, developmentally appropriate activities, and proper sanitation procedures in child care. In this position, I also worked with professors in educating undergraduate students in their Child Development Practicum course daily. This allowed me to build relationships with students, professors, and children & families simultaneously.

Some of the duties I hold at Home Depot involve executing proper cash handling procedures and techniques. It is my responsibility to always put the customer first by answering questions and customers. By becoming more aware of products in store and online I am able to deliver optimal customer service that leaves memorable experiences! I enjoy working along my co-workers that I learn from every day!

As an intern, I have been introduced to every aspect of this agency. I've learned how to conduct an interview for financial assistance, assess a client and present the case to the review board. I have become familiar with pantry operations, re-sale shop, and work alongside volunteers and employees of this agency. Together We Cope has a very diverse clientele who may need access to various types of resources. My experience with this agency has taught me about hardships that individuals and families might go through and how providing assistance with compassion and a positive attitude might go a long way. The slightest bit of kindness can give a glimpse of hope to families enduring a crisis.

I started out at Taco Bell as a crew member mainly taking orders in the front lobby and drive-thru. I quickly adapted to the fast-paced environment and began to learn how to make orders. Soon enough, I was excelling in customer service, organization and maintenance. As a shift manager, I trained new employees and performed store opening and closing duties. This included counting cash drawers, checking all equipment and assisting coworkers and customers in an orderly fashion.

Working for Ronald McDonald House Charities was the most unbelievable experience. I had the opportunity to work with families and children on a daily basis. Making the house more comforting for the families was an important aspect of the job. I would post events for families to attend, assist volunteers and staff during workshops or meal prep and also conducted tours. I worked at a golf outing towards the end of the summer where we promoted the charity through raffle ticket sales and games for families.
