I am a social work professional who found their way into the management career path during my search to find a social work position after graduation. I was promoted from barista to store manager for Starbucks in just 3 years. I have learned an immense amount of business analyzation and management skills through my time with them. The most valuable and exciting things that I have learned through my time have been how to coach and manage my team and their performance, hiring and interviewing skills, and training and coaching new members of my staff. Life took an unexpected turn in 2017 when my first daughter was born. Over time we have learned that she is autistic and requires many therapies. In 2019 we also learned that she has a genetic disorder called SATB2-Associated Syndrome. I spend my days working with her helping her to learn how to navigate life with a brain that is wired differently. All 3 of my girls are constantly challenging me to be the best version of myself I can be. In 2021 I also joined the SATB2 Gene Foundation Board of Directors as the Director of Family Support. I create and run programs designed to support our families through the SATB2-Associated Syndrome diagnosis and all that comes along with raising an individual with a rare disease.
