Inpatient acute and rehab peds experience. Worked with the following types of patients: Heme/onc, medsurg (including patients with diabetes, gait trainers, and developmental patients), CTICU, and PICU.

Inpatient acute setting. Experience on the following floors: Medsurg, ortho, neuro, cardiac, ICU, and in the ED.

Outpatient orthopedic clinic at the Irvine hospital

-Evaluate and treat a patient in the neurological population 1x/week for 10 weeks with supervision from licensed physical therapists-Interventions performed: fall-risk and HEP education, functional movement training, manual therapy, postural retraining, and gait training overground and using a body weight supported treadmill-Perform initial evaluation including SMART goals, weekly SOAP note documentation, and discharge report

-Substitute teacher for grades kindergarten through sixth grade in public elementary schools-Working with both general education and special education classes

-Assist adult and adolescent patients with their post-acute recovery who have suffered from traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, or other neurological trauma-Support patients during their rehabilitative programming-Maintain sanitary environment and ensure that all supplies are fully stocked and put away-Observe licensed physical and occupational therapists

-Took for credit during Spring 2018; course was twice a week-Formed a workout plan and short/long term SMART goals for patients with minor to severe physical and neuromuscular disabilities-Took blood pressure and heart rate-Assisted patients with upper and lower extremity stretches, spasticity stretches, and cervical stretches-Assisted patients with strengthening exercises, gross motor skill exercises, and fine motor skill exercises

- Interacted with patients and assisted with detaching electrical stimulation, cryotherapy, moist hot packs, and ACE bandages- Prepared all ice bags, moist hot packs, and towels for the patients- Maintained a clean environment in the clinic, sanitized, and prepared all tables for the patients- Sorted and pulled all patient charts for upcoming and completed appointments- Called patients to remind them of their upcoming appointments
