The Regional Engagement committee is focused on improving Alumni engagement throughout our Alumni Chapters.

The Alumni Association Board of Directors serves as the advisory body of the RIT Alumni Association. The Board's primary responsibility is to provide leadership in developing and executing stimulating alumni programs and activities. Selected from a wide spectrum of graduation years and geographic areas, approximately 40 Board members represent the voices of over 111,000 Institute alumni. The Pride and Recognition Committee's purpose is to celebrate RIT, it's history, traditions and uniqueness, along with identifying opportunities to incorporate these elements into current and future alumni programming activities.

The Board of Directors is made up of members who are active in the fields of health and safety. These members represent the area's small business owners, large corporations and the government.

• Identifying, evaluating, mitigation planning, and monitoring areas of potential EHS risk.• Direct the implementation of Federal, State, and local regulations in regards to EHS; conduct site audits to assure compliance with governmental regulations and company policies• Provide guidance and advice to executive management, project managers and field leads on matters of Risk Management and EHS compliance to assist them in making informed decisions• Prepare, review, and approve Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans (approximately 350 prepared to date).• Develop, implement and update standard operating procedures and policies by utilizing knowledge from first line employees, subject matter experts and consultants.• Develop, present and coordinate employee training• Perform incident investigations and root cause analysis; determine and implement corrective action• Complete and maintain EHS recordkeeping, including OSHA 300 logs, training certifications, hazardous waste annual reports and waste manifests.• Manage the annual budget for the EHS department, including proper documentation and submission of expenses• Act as company liaison for the following government agencies: OSHA, NYDEC and NYDOL• Chair corporate safety committee• Audit subcontractor safety programs • Manage certificate of insurance correspondence, review and approval• Manage insurance policy claims, including worker’s compensation claims• Oversee the completion of human resource documentation for new employees

I assisted Certified Athletic Trainers in giving care to RIT's Varsity Athletes, as well as setting up and breaking down practices and games.

• Performed preliminary noise surveys using a sound level meter and noise dosimeters to determine employee exposures for gas and elctric line crews as well as power plant employees• Analyzed noise exposure and assisted in determining corrective action to control/eliminate the noise hazards identified• Assisted in performing personal air sampling for hexavalent chromium at the William H. Zimmer facility • Assisted in performing indoor air quality sampling at various facilities• Assisted in the remediation of an OSHA 1910.1200 citation by performing chemical inventories and implementing control measures at facilities throughout the Midwest• DEGS EHS Co-op Rochester, NY Sep-2008 to Apr-2009; Performed EHS audits; Assisted in environmental compliance documentation for air emissions; Developed and implemented a fixed ladder inspection policy for the plant in accordance with OSHA 1910.27
