Jenna M. McKnight is a leading architectural journalist and editor. Her work has taken her around the globe, from touring skyscrapers in Manhattan to reporting on humanitarian work in Haiti and Burkina Faso. Jenna has held senior positions at major print and online publications, including Architectural Record and Dezeen, in addition to being the first digital editor at the global architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. She also has served as editor of three books for the design firm HDR: Rigor: Working With Intent, Verge: Empowering Our Ethos, and 33.3 This Point In Time. Jenna is currently a PhD candidate at the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado Denver. Her research is focused on the intersection of architecture, photography, and social media. An Arizona native, Jenna earned a BS in Journalism from Northern Arizona University and an MA in Arts Journalism, with a focus on architecture, from Syracuse University. Jenna managed the firm's presence in the digital realm, from overseeing the launch of an expansive new website to crafting and executing a global social media strategy. She managed all print and online news coverage, in addition to overseeing special sections and writing feature stories about avant-garde buildings worldwide. She also was a key contributor to digital initiatives. Jenna holds a master’s degree in arts journalism, with a focus on architecture, from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.
