As an International Policy Manager, I manage Ofcom's international engagement on online safety. This includes engaging on issues of online hate, terrorism, CSEA and other illegal harms. I manage our relationships with stakeholders across the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Asia-Pacific. This includes leading policy analysis and advice on legislative and tech developments across a number of these regions. I also lead our engagement with the Global Online Safety Regulators Network, other multilateral and multi-stakeholder online safety groups and international civil society stakeholders.This role involves coordination with UK stakeholders including HMG, civil society and academia and international institutions like the OECD, WEF, UN agencies and the G20.

This involved building and maintaining relationships with UK and global partners, and conducting policy research and analysis on a range of files including the Commonwealth, counter-terrorism and public safety, online harms, overseas aid and development, and the Americas.This role involved developing contacts across the UK government, think tanks, civil society and academia.

As a part of the High Commission, I worked to support the Government of Canada achieve it's goal of increasing immigration to Canada. In this role, I provided policy advice, operational support and assistance in case processing. I carried out risk assessments and conducted open source intelligence. Through this role, I gained subject-matter expertise on the Gulf states, South Asia, the UK, and the Nordics.

In this role, I worked to support the VP Students' and the Equity & Inclusion Office to achieve their strategic goals of wellbeing and inclusion.I was responsible for supporting policy and initiative development, implementation, and evaluation in partnership across campus.1. I helped build, implement and evaluate 5 university-wide strategic plans.2. My work created more effective working relationships between departments and with the student body.3. I created partnerships with professionals from universities across North America on issues of wellbeing.

At the AMS, I worked on behalf of more than 50,000 student members. I also supported the operation of services (9), businesses (10), faculty constituencies (17), resource groups and branch organizations (over 400). In this role I represented students to the university administration on all matters. My specific successes are included below.1. Through research and negotiation, I convinced the Board of Governors of the university to approve lower tuition increases than had been proposed for students.2. I successfully lobbied for 5M dollars to be allocated to the issues of mental health.3. I successfully lobbied for 1M per year for the creation and funding of the Student Diversity Initiative, which still today works to create systemic change in the institution around race and inclusion.4. My team carried out a governance review of the society, leading to efficiencies and better functioning.5. My team successfully opened a new $110M building for students in our tenure.6. I successfully lobbied for the creation of a campus Sexual Assault & Misconduct Policy.
