As a UX designer and strategist, my work has often intersected with a path of early adoption in product, tech, and social media. Over the span of my career, I have worked with design agencies, global NGOs, consumer brands, and startups building products and brands—but my career has never been linear. I’ve co-founded a bakery, served as sound designer/music director for an off-Broadway play, and was Head of Community, Brand & Growth at a mobile video startup. With deep experience in design and tech, I've had the opportunity to design large-scale, award winning websites for clients such as The Smithsonian Institution, The American Cancer Society, Harvard Graduate School of Design, and UPenn School of Medicine. In the last few years I've focused my work on product and UX, collaborating with fintech clients, early-stage startups, and DTC brands.As an early Asian American voice in the first wave of blogs that helped shape digital media for women in the early to mid 2000s, I gained recognition as a blogger from Time Magazine, Forbes, and Fast Company. As editor and creative director, I’ve helped grow blogs in traffic to 2 million monthly page views and 600,000 monthly unique visitors. In 2008 I co-founded a Brooklyn-based bakery with my pastry chef husband and grew our business and sales exclusively through social media. Our small business has been covered by The New York Times, The Martha Stewart Show, The Wall Street Journal, Food & Wine, Real Simple, New York Magazine, and The Food Network.
