I come from a family that is big on education but not determined enough to go out and graduate college making me the first in my family to do so. I have overcome many obstacles in my past to get to where I am at now. I do not have a supportive family on my side but I have my fiancés side of the family who is and his grandparents who are apart of SCORE who have become my mentors for my future success.As I have worked at only a few jobs I have learned quite a few skills that have shaped my future for the better. I have learned to be a good collaborator. I have learned how to deal with tough people and still work through your differences to get what needs to be done. Even though working with your work team can be difficult and challenging you can always put feelings aside and work well together to get your job done. I have been determined to work since I was 16.As in every workplace you need to have effective communication skills to help not only your customers but your coworkers. Communication is particularly important to help get the most valuable information across without worrying someone or giving them the incorrect information. This has made me stronger and more observant to my job and for future jobs or career. I hope to achieve two business of my own in my future and by making it through jobs with skills that have helped me tremendously will be a great help.From this point on I will be a very busy lady with a lot of tasks and responsibility but knowing where I came from to where I am now I will be able to handle it. I feel throughout most of my life I have been resilient and persistent enough where I can reach my goals even if it make take some time and rethinking I will get there. It is all about how I go about it and keep at it that will determine my future. With the support I have and reaching out to more groups and mentors with in my planned industry I will be set to go forward and make life long supporters and friends to help me throughout my business endeavors.
