ASAP!'s Metamorphosis Project is an ongoing in-school program that incorporates the arts, design and engineering into 3rd-5th grade science and social studies classes. Now in its 7th year, this portable, immersive learning experience provides students the opportunity to get to know themselves as artists, designers and engineers. Students participate in a variety of projects that encourage exploration of materials, observation, hand-eye coordination, motor skills, creative problem solving, teamwork and active play. Working individually and in teams, students explore art, design and science practices before addressing real-world environmental and political issues with creative solutions. The classroom is a safe and active learning environment for children to discover their value as members of their community and the world at large. As an advocate for teacher and student wellness and forward-thinking educational practices, Jenna leads a professional development session with classroom teachers prior to beginning the project. This opens the door for teachers to see themselves as collaborators and participants in Metamorphosis, and for them to share, explore and integrate new teaching methods into their classrooms.

CRUSH is an ongoing materials collaboration between myself and Olivia Verdugo. We create prints and wearable pieces, allowing the print to inspire the object. We silk screen and construct all pieces in their Philadelphia studio, adhering to an ecologically-responsible and slow-fashion ethos.
