Through my position I also handled copywriting, website and social media upkeep and updates, event promotions, writing and sending bi-monthly newsletters, and coordinating guests and writing the news for Local-First's weekly radio show. Local First is a member-based 501c6 non-profit which included member appropriating and retention, budget consciousness, and leadership in organizing fundraising events. In addition, I'm a freelance photographer and writer, writing regularly for The Durango Telegraph and other area publications, along with copywriting for various businesses. As a former full-time professional newspaper photographer for a daily and weekly newspaper, I maintain good standing with photography as well. I'm well-versed in newspaper and magazine deadlines and detail-oriented in all communications. I've worked with all Adobe programs including Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Illustrator and have created and compiled publications using all programs. I'm still active in all newspaper, magazine and communication/marketing industries: a published writer since 2014, working in the photography industry since 2012, and marketing since 2018.
