Members of the Teacher and Principal Advisory Cabinets (TAC and PAC) share their insights, suggestions and feedback with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to help refine current policies and inform the development of new policies and resources at the state level. The Teacher and Principal Advisory Cabinets have been informing DESE's work since 2012.To ensure a wide range of input, DESE convenes East and Central/West branches of each cabinet. Furthermore, DESE seeks input from a diverse group of teachers and principals representing urban, suburban, and rural districts that reflect the demographics of Massachusetts' students.
