I care about the impact good internal system and process design has on the future of a business and its people. I care about how this increases a business’ capacity to do more, including positive impact on itself, its people and beyond. With a background as an architect, I have built my business on helping particularly construction industry design practices solve the problems that generally affect risk, profitability and impact, and thereby slow down businesses and careers.Every business has its own unique combination of ecosystem parts which it uses to organise itself internally. You can call it habits, systems, processes or whatever you like, if it represents the typical actions people will take, those are the mechanisms which will largely define the level and type of success the business and its people will experience.The fun bit (for me at least) is to consider how we can craft our organisational ecosystems to support excellent business, people and environmental outcomes.I believe this is the key to innovation and therefore one of the keys to the positive change we want to see in our world.

A Safety in Design campaign (with a process solution and training workshops) for professional designers in the construction industry, across Australia and New Zealand. The aim of the campaign is to improve understanding in the industry of what sits inside and outside the boundary of the professional designers duty under the relevant WHS legislation component, as well as what a truly compliant yet meaningful process can look like. These insights then create the opportunity for better collaboration and coordination with other consultants, clients, contractors and various stakeholders, in managing safety outcomes across the lifecycle of the project.Already widely used on hundreds of projects, this solution has a proven track record of being clear, supportive and scaleable to the size and complexity of any one project.
