• Manages the planning and purchasing of all raw materials, packaging components and finished goods for the Desert Essence personal care line from new product development to production to distribution.• Maximizes customer service levels, manufacturing efficiencies, capacity utilization, and inventory investment. • Participates in contract development for key bulk raw materials to obtain best prices, quality and service, and secures product during supply shortages.• Controls finished goods inventory levels for both Desert Essence distribution center and online store as well as the expediting activity of all material purchases and finished goods while minimizing excess and obsolescence.• Builds and maintains forecasting processes by utilizing historical data, seasonality, marketing and supply trends, and promotional activities.• Prepares and presents full cost analyses for new product development including sourcing of new packaging and raw materials.• Maintains BOMs and packaging specifications for all finished goods items.

• Coordinates turnkey and tolling products for the West Coast region including nutraceutical gummies and liquids, 50% of the natural beauty line and packaging components.• General procurement responsibilities including issuing purchase orders for assigned commodities and supplies as well as planning and maintaining inventory levels. • Analyzes requirements against historical information and supply criteria.• Ensures that assigned suppliers maintain a level of quality consistent with company standards and communicates on an ongoing basis to make quality and cost improvements. • Interfaces with Distribution, Marketing, Customer Service, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Finance and Product Development as necessary to ensure information is shared on a timely basis.• Solves internal problems with Accounts Payable and Receiving concerning pricing and quantity conflicts.• Assures compliance by following FDA's Good Manufacturing Practices as well as other regulatory standards as required by the department.• Regularly visits suppliers to conduct product audits, planning and commercial discussions.
