As the inaugural Advertising & Promotions Director for Sun City Lincoln Hills, an active adult retirement community (approx. 11,000 residents) I orchestrated the creation of the association’s marketing department to support its businesses & amenities including: two fitness centers, four pools, an outdoor concert amphitheater, a ballroom, a wellness spa, restaurants, an activities department and 70+ groups and clubs. Overhauled and streamlined the association’s communication channels including websites, e-blasts and social media, resulting in increased community engagement measured by class registration, event attendance, and association revenue. Organized a multi-day photo shoot to showcase the association’s services & amenities. Developed ad campaigns for the association’s monthly magazine.

Led the graphics department for Sacramento’s highest-rated TV station, KNTV Channel 3. Designed station graphics packages, news graphics, animations and sets while maintaining two unique brands (NBC & WB). Supervised a team of five designers and mentored numerous interns. Developed a graphics request system that optimized the production of daily news graphics. Interfaced with producers to fulfill daily news & weekly promotions graphics/animations.Created custom show graphics and sets for special programs & events including the Olympics, Presidential elections, Tom Sullivan’s financial report, and the California State Fair.

Facilitated the rebranding & transition of KNTV from San Jose’s ABC affiliate to San Francisco’s NBC affiliate. Expanded two design departments located in separate locations (San Jose & San Francisco) including hiring design staff and purchasing equipment & software. Supervised a team of six designers to support the visual needs of all station departments. Designed station graphics packages, newcast opens, animations and sets while maintaining two unique brands (NBC & WB). Art directed custom show opens, graphics & sets for the WB20 News at 10, the BAMMIES music awards and the San Francisco Pride Parade.
