My drive as an educational leader comes from my unwavering belief that every child deserves the chance to achieve their full potential, and I am inspired to lead a school because of the privileged position it gives to improve the life chances of a young person regardless of their background, ability, individual interests, or ambitions. As humans, we seek connection and belonging, and everyone wants to feel accepted, to feel seen, and to feel included. As such, creating the conditions and climate for everyone to feel as if they belong is one of my key drivers as a leader and educator. I have an uncompromising expectation of the best for every learner - both children and staff. I am therefore ambitious for everyone within my care, and realise that this can only become a reality with a strong and shared commitment to excellence. I am passionate about leadership development, coaching, and talent management. This is within the context of cultivating 'organisational health' through building cohesive teams, creating clarity, over-communicating clarity, and reinforcing clarity. This ambition is underpinned by my ability to be a reflective practitioner and I know myself well. For me, the virtue of humility is essential and I am able to celebrate my strengths, whilst also being acutely aware of what I need to work on. I am a capable, creative, hardworking, and strategic thinker who can translate vision into outcomes, and I remain driven by my belief that being a Headteacher is the best job in the world!
