As a school social worker at Karner Blue Education Center, I provide mental health support to our students with autism, emotional and behavioral disorders, and cognitive disabilities.

I worked as a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Social Worker. My role was to provide support to our patients and family's emotional needs, help families navigate through the medical system and bridging connections, provide counseling to individuals, siblings, couples and families, help with problem solving, advocacy and communcation about the patient's plan of care, help with school related issues and identify hospital and community-based resources.

-Work with international adoptive families and adults making connections with their birthcountries, through search and outreach services.-M & M Mentoring Program Manager and Intern Supervisor-Coordinate intermediary services for Birthland Tours to Korea-Travel to Korea with birthland tours-Faciliate workshops and other educational offerings for those connected to adoption.- Organize and manage first adoption birthland tour to Ethiopia - hoping to travel in 2011

I completed my MSW clinical internship at Children's in Minneapolis. I worked on the hematology and oncology inpatient unit and outpatient clinic. The role of the social worker is to provide concrete and emotional support to families while they are dealing with the cancer diagnosis and treatment.

I completed my Master of Social Work First Year Internship at Randolph Heights Elementary School, Saint Paul Public School District. My internship responsibilites included: facilitating social skills groups, providing individual counseling to students, managing a case load of special education students, participating as an integral member of the Special Education team,and writing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
