Fantastic opportunities have allowed me to work in two amazing career paths which incorporate my favorite things: writing and teaching.I have over a decade of experience writing documentation including help files, technical reports, training materials, and release notes. I created standardized organization and formats for internal and external documentation, wrote software help files, and created paper-based and online training manuals. Additionally, I created both instructor-led and online training courses for software and telecommunication companies. I worked with subject matter experts to determine real-world scenarios that would enhance the learning experience. During 17 years in the classroom, I have been able to apply real-world business experiences to lessons in college-level literature and research, technical writing, and cyber literacy. Furthermore, these experiences have allowed to me to develop curriculum that prepares graduating seniors for life in school and beyond.I gain so much pleasure from seeing a student “get it” – whether it’s an adult in a training course or a kid in English class.
