Project Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Worldwide Training Services (WTS) project. I provide overall technical, administrative, and financial management to a critical project that provides high-quality training services and support to USAID offices worldwide. We assess, design, develop, deliver, and evaluate adult professional training on core and non-core training and coaching for the USAID workforce located in Washington, DC headquarters and its approximately 85 Missions overseas.• Responsible for the vision, strategic direction, and leadership of a critical project consisting of high-volume, demand-driven, and time-sensitive activities across the Agency• Serve as key personnel, providing central technical, operational and management oversight of the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and its subsequent Call Orders• Lead a large and diverse team made up of staff, individual consultants, and implementing partners• Work to achieve sustainable development outcomes applying state-of-the-art strategic planning, adaptive management, systems strengthening, adult learning principles, creative problem solving, and effective communications and knowledge management approaches

Responsible for the vision, strategic direction, and leadership for a large and complex project that supports USAID staff learning on core functions, as well as supervision, management, and leadership. - Provide overall technical, administrative, and financial management direction to the project. - Bring leadership, technical expertise, and innovative learning methodologies and approaches to a variety of learning and leadership programs and courses.

Leader and innovator of a program that strengthens women’s confidence, capacity, and agency and promotes greater representation of women in leadership positions around the world. The program primarily targets women leaders from resource-poor environments and has produced more than 6,000 alumnae from 150 countries. Oversaw all aspects of a transformative women’s leadership program for women NGO leaders from developing countries, with close to 1000 graduates of the program from 76 countries; have personally trained more than 500 participants to date. Also:– Produced and facilitated a virtual peer mentoring program and online learning course to offer capacity building and support to more than 300 organizational leaders from 24 countries during the COVID-19 pandemic– Designed and delivered participatory, learner-centric, capacity-building interventions for individuals and organizations– Consulted with Subject Matter Experts to convert highly technical information into high-quality training curricula and capacity strengthening approaches contextualized for a variety of audiences– Managed a south-to-south global coaching program of 110 WLI trained coaches from 41 countries– Implemented one- to four-week regional and global leadership workshops; provided ongoing technical assistance for alumnae, and promoted engagement and collaboration among a global network

Oversaw the design and delivery of month-long trainings for multi-cultural audiences of overseas executives and senior staff; designed and facilitated the curriculum; worked with a wide variety of Subject Matter Experts to synthesize key messages and deliver sessions based on adult learning theory and best practices. Also:– Established a standard of training and continuum of learning for overseas staff; created an online Overseas Staff Orientation Guide and Individual Development Plan tracking tool system for all host country national field staff in 76 countries– Provided in-country and remote technical support and contributed to on-going professional development of overseas staff, serving in short-term assignments in Mongolia and Ukraine

Served as second-in-command of Peace Corps program in Panama consisting of 220 Volunteers and 55 staff, with an annual budget of $3.9 million. Served as Acting Country Director for extended periods. Also oversaw all functions related to project management, training, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting for a portfolio of six projects and monitored implementation of training. Built, supervised and coached a multi-cultural team of managers, establishing work plans, assigning responsibilities, and evaluating performance.

Managed department responsible for providing training to incoming field staff, as well as the orientation for all Volunteers preparing for service in more than 80 countries. Also supervised a complex and diverse team of staff, contractors and volunteers during a period of significant department restructuring and change in agency leadership; promoted to Director of Programming and Training in under one year.

Supervised and handled all performance management for team of six staff, 11 contractors and 75 trained volunteers; redesigned and streamlined standard training model; developed and maintained relationships with stakeholders in various levels of government and private industry to negotiate contracts, resulting in a savings of $600,000. Promoted to Overseas Training Unit Supervisor.

Developed and implemented training course and course materials for more than 110 service orientation events annually, as well as various staff trainings throughout the year; managed event staff, oversaw administrative and logistical arrangements and ensured quality outcomes of the trainings. Promoted to Supervisory Training Specialist within a year.

Managed fundraising campaigns for an international community service organization including developing strategies and appeals, cultivating donors and membership, managing critical donor information, generating development reports and advising local chapters in fundraising strategies.

Designed a training program for new employees and counseled management on facilitation techniques; advised executive staff and drafted internal corporate policies for regional office and headquarters of a multinational company. Analyzed Country Strategy Programs for relevant client interests to serve as a basis for future corporate initiatives and NGO-private sector partnerships in the Asia region.

Advised local government officials in the development and improvement of decentralized municipal services and infrastructure as part of a 27-month service commitment; evaluated and improved municipal tax collection and basic accounting systems, trained staff in order to streamline processes; guided and supported a local commission in the fundraising, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the construction of a public library.

Charged with cultivating individual and corporate donor relations and helped to raise $2.6 million annually for an organization serving over 3,500 abused and neglected children and youth; planned and implemented all aspects of the non-profit’s volunteer program from recruitment and training to development and evaluation. Also:– Spearheaded Coaching to College program, which promoted job and college readiness opportunities for youth approaching emancipation from the system– Transformed a program to a social enterprise holiday card business. Responsible for setting and meeting program goals, doubling sales from 1998 to 1999 and meeting year 2000 sales projections– Managed staff and aspects of production, marketing, sales, customer service and program budget– Co-authored a business plan and presented at the 2000 Seattle Social Investors Forum
