Passionate Horticulturalist with 22 years industry experience. Specialising in Native Plant Propagation by seed and cutting. Experienced in native seed identification, collection, cleaning and storage. Knowledgeable in germinating native species seed using various techniques.My love of Native Plants extends to being a Wildplant Rescue Coordinator also. Rescuing native plants, threatened, endangered and protected species, from urban and industrial development sites and making them available to the public, and to encourage the use of local native plants in the landscape for food and housing for our local wildlife and insect species. Have undertaken numerous rescues for the RMS throughout the Central Coast of NSW removing Threatened species which are replanted on site during road and infrastructure upgrades.Recently and successfully rescued Tetratheca juncea from a housing development at the northern end of the coast. Other species successfully rescued include Xanthorrhoea sp, Cryptostylus, Patersonia, Lomandra, Dianella and lots more.Also working with local council rescuing plants which are replanted following revegetation works in environmentally sensitive areas and native reserves.
