Part of a hybrid second fieldwork where I worked Wed/Thurs with this company. Conducted aquatic therapy sessions targeting fine motor, gross motor, and social skills while maintaining safety as a priority. Facilitated understanding of the therapy process by maintaining communication with children and their family members. This setting involved a high level of creativity as it was a non-traditional setting of being in a pool yet had the resources to turn any session into one targeting a variety of skills.

Part of a hybrid setup for my second fieldwork where I worked at this setting Mon, Tues, & Fri. Developed 1:1 as well as group activities to promote skill development in: fine motor, emotional regulation, communication, etc. Aided children in expressing themselves through a variety of mediums such as handwriting, typing, and alternative pencils (ex. flip chart) to allow for communication despite any barriers such as difficulty with hand mobility. Collaborated with members of the treatment team to develop meaningful, individualized IEPs. Gained exposure to assistive technology such as switches, ipad AAC interfaces, as well as low-tech options such as slant boards.

Developed and implemented personalized intervention plans for 20+ kids with the use of sensory integration techniques. Primarily focused on the base sensory systems of vestibular, proprioceptive, and tactile to help regulate children's sensory systems and aid them in sensory integration by layering sensory system input. Provided a safe space with co-regulation and self-regulation techniques for kids with difficulty managing emotions.

Assisted in literature searches and collection concerning the fields of occupational therapy and education. Updated and systemized research participant data into Excel files to optimize organization.

Provided direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) goals for children with disabilities, primarily autism. Monitored and collected information about client’s behavior and skills using data collection. Communicated with staff and families regularly about progress updates related to treatment.

Delivered DIR/Floortime therapy to children with disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, and Global Developmental Delay. Assisted children in reaching developmental milestones with the addition of parent coaching to promote independence and family relationship building.

Directly supervised a group of twenty 3rd graders through daily activities such as snack time, recess, reading, and homework. Organized and implemented themed clubs with 6 weeks-worth of weekly activities for a combination of K-3 students.
