Pea in a Pod started as a major wholesaler to premium department stores in Australia including Target, Kmart and Myer. All the garments were manufactured by outside makers.We then changed our direction to become our own manufacturers, therefore having more control over the quality and designs of our product. We ceased selling to the major stores and started selling to smaller boutiques, before expanding online. We are unique in our operation as we are Australian made and have control of our product, wholesale, retail and online platform.

I started my own children's wear label in Melbourne. I designed the garments, sourced the fabric, had the pieces made and then sold them. In 1979, my husband and I merged businesses together. We sold and manufactured bulk maternity wear for local and international stores and we opened an office in London and a factory in Mauritius.
