Collaborated and coached with school districts, nonprofits, and higher education in the following areas: teacher and coach development, professional development grounded in adult learning principles, early literacy, social emotional and academic development, curriculum design and implementation.

Lead NTC SF Bay Area programmatic efforts including: high-level district relationship building and management, internal capacity building and supervision of a team of ten, and quality program implementation oversight. Served on Program Leadership initiatives to deepen and expand NTC’s program work across the country.

Responsible for all programming and partnerships across multiple Bay Area districts. Supported and supervised regional teacher induction, instructional coaching, early childhood pilot, and school leadership program delivery team.Served as client lead on a federal i3 Scale-Up grant in partnership with San Francisco Unified School District. Represented NTC at events, conferences, and convocations involving education initiatives.

Designed, developed and delivered professional development series on effective literacy instruction, effective collaboration, and teacher leadership with several Bay Area urban districts. Mentored site instructional coaches, facilitated guided meetings for peer coaches and teacher leaders at multiple sites. Coached early career and veteran teachers and supported site administrators with strategic planning and implementing school site goals. Served as an Induction mentor for teachers with Preliminary credentials in Ravenswood City School District.

Created and taught thematic curriculum using the Teaching for Understanding framework and an evidence-based literacy approach. Coached and supported new teachers and classroom assistants in literacy strategies, project-based learning, and multiage classrooms. Responsible for day to day operations of the school. Liaison among families, staff, school board, OUSD, and greater community. Supervised and supported credentialed and non-credentialed staff during the school day and afterschool program.Researched, implemented, and evaluated school curriculum and assessment tools.Created and monitored instructional scope and sequence grades K-5. Lead weekly professional development series for staff.

Taught first grade to English Learners/newcomers in a full-inclusion classroom implementing structured literacy and hands-on mathematics approach. Modified and adapted district curriculum based on students backgrounds, interests and needs. Served as Vice President of the School Site Council, School Health Advocate, School Portfolio Coordinator, and Grade level team leader. Master teacher for SFSU and USF student teachers.
