Like many professionals, I started on a career path that actually steered away from the design world into a more practical space of healthcare. Maybe you’re reading this and can also remember your parents telling you to pursue something that will have stability?! But life has a way of redeeming all things… My background and education is in Audiology, but my heart, passion, and gifting is in the design world. So much so that after seven years in the world of healthcare, I pivoted into entrepreneurship and opened Jeneri Jewelry (now La Maison Louisa). I loved designing and making the jewelry to enhance the beauty of my clients and their sentimental expressions. We experienced some amazing success including media coverage by Midwest Living Magazine, The Washington Post and blogs galore. I’m now embarking on the next career pivot and have officially obtained my Associates in Interior Design, as well as my computer applications and lighting certificates in Interior Design. If we were on an elevator ride up to Hancock’s Observation Deck, and you asked what I do, I’d say: “I’m a genuine relationship builder.
