I was recently promoted to V.P. after serving as the Plant Manager for almost 10 years. My intention is to continue working to improve and expand operations at WGS in a manner that is consistent with the goals I've set for myself, the staff, and the company and by renewing and strengthening the partnerships we've fostered over 65 years of business. Renovations to the facility have begun with a brand new dock and ramp at our warehouse and an automated pallet wrapping machine which will reduce staging time significantly. Upgrades to key production equipment will automate tasks that were previously monitered or performed by staff and will free them to do other production related tasks. Renovations to the lab provide us an opportunity to expand our quality control and R&D capabilities by updating equipment and adding trained personnel.The rehabilitation and renovation of two under used buildings will add usable space for future projects including a hot room, an industrial grinding room for reducing particulate size for some of our customers who require powdered waxes, an automated drumming station, and more drum storage space.WGS will also be attending and exhibiting at several trade shows this year for the first time!

Plant Manager's job is to supervise the plant operations of WGS by leading and effectively co-operating with individuals within the organization. A plant manager is responsible for maintaining accurate quality and quantity control to ensure the on-time delivery of produced materials in order to satisfy the customers. The job of the Quality Control Technician is a highly focused position to ensure that the products manufactured at WGS fit the purpose and meet the expectations of the customer. The quality control technician develops and coordinates special activities and programs necessary to meet and maintain quality standards and the reliability of manufactured products. They document the product test results and provide suggestions required to attain the best quality product possible. They may specialize in areas such as inventory control, product design, research and development, or purchase.
