I led Cisco’s services sales team for Bank of America, one of our largest finance services clients in the Global Enterprise Segment. I brought cross-functional teams together to build custom solutions to meet the client’s needs. The job was about understanding a global financial services client’s business and technology needs, and creating solutions to meet their objectives. I was recognized as a Manager of Excellence and for consistently overachieving annual revenue targets.

This was my first role at Cisco, and it was an easy transition after selling Cisco products and services at Bellsouth, and collaborating as a partner at Coleman Technologies, Inc. (CTI). The solutions we provided were bespoke, and I learned a lot about managed services by working closely with our delivery team and with Bank of America. Achievements I was recognized for included: Cisco Chairman’s Club, consecutive Cisco Sales Champion, and Cisco Hall of Fame.

I was hired to establish the Coleman Technologies, Inc. (CTI) business in the Carolinas, which was like launching a start-up within an established business. I was solely responsible for sales, customer development, customer management, and revenue growth in North and South Carolina. I led services sales to Cisco, with whom we were a partner, and initiated strategic planning with Cisco operations directors, Cisco regional managers, and Cisco account managers. Our focus was solving client problems with advanced and emerging technology solutions in the areas of data center, unified communications, contact center, secure infrastructure, managed services, and mobility (wireless) for mid-market-to-enterprise clients based in the United States. I received the Top CTI Wireless Technology Sales award for 2006.

I was assigned to grow overall revenue in enterprise retail, financial, and higher education accounts throughout North Carolina and South Carolina by selling voice and data hardware solutions. I used a strategic approach to sales, developing and implementing account strategies in collaboration with a cross functional team including pre-sales and post-sales engineers, subject matter experts and senior executives. Daily responsibilities included client presentations, contract negotiations, consulting, and managing accurate sales forecasts. In this role, I earned multiple Pinnacle Club and Peak Performers awards for my contributions to the business.
