Titchwell mannor is an independent family run hotel which has won several awards within Norfolk for the great standard of the food which is produced in the kitchen. My job responsibilities include preparing and plating up for larder, assisting senior chefs within the kitchen which is helping build my confidence and skills with in the kitchen. I have also helped out other departments within the hotel, this included the restaurant and housekeeping. Concord hotels offers students who have college qualifications in hospitality and allows them 4 six month placements in 4 star hotels around England. Each placement is in a different department. Since starting concord I have learnt a lot of skills which will help me in future in the hotel/hospitality industry. My confidence has grown immensely and so has my management skills

Worked in a busy city centre chain hotel on reception and in the sales office. My responsibilities whilst on reception were to assist guests with any requests, check in and out guests, making sure there bills were correct, that the guest was satisfied with their visit to the hotel and being able to deal with any complaints that may occur.Within my 6 month placement I worked in the sales office for 3 months, my responsibilities during this time were to answer phones, make reservations for… Show more Worked in a busy city centre chain hotel on reception and in the sales office. For the conference side of the job I had to quote correctly for what the guest required, liaise with different departments to ensure the guests would receive all of their requests. Working in a sleepy sea side resort during the hight of summer in a busy hotel bar.this was my second placement within the concord trainee hotel management scheme. Working in a country house hotel on my first concord trainee hotel management placement. My job role whilst working at Chilston park was serving high quality food in the restaurant and function rooms, this include large weddings, conferences and private dining rooms. The skills that I learnt include, food and beverage knowledge, customer care and service, staff management including rotas, cashing up procedure and the procedure for dealing with complaints.
