Jennifer A. Cormier is a partner in the San Francisco office of MG+M. Her practice focuses on complex litigation with an emphasis on representing defendants in the toxic tort arena. Throughout her career, she has successfully represented manufacturers, distributors, contractors and premises owners in multiple-party litigation involving exposure to a variety of toxins. She has extensive experience in overseeing and managing nationally recognized companies as National Coordinating Counsel, Settlement Counsel, as well as local counsel. She recently expanded her practice to defend businesses sued under California’s Child Victims Acts.A significant part of Jennifer's practice is devoted to the strategic negotiation of settlements for clients in the areas of asbestos, toxic torts, and sexual molestation claims. In this role, she has successfully negotiated more than a thousand favorable resolutions for her clients for over 20 years. Jennifer recently completed a rigorous mediation training program “Mediating The Litigated Case” offered by the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law.Prior to joining MG+M, Jennifer was a partner in a San Francisco based law firm, leading their asbestos practice. She also served as Assistant Attorney General for the Louisiana Department of Justice where she specialized in consumer fraud with an emphasis on protecting the elderly.A Pennsylvania native, Jennifer received her J.D from Louisiana State University and B.S from the University of Delaware. She is admitted to practice in California, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania. Beyond her legal work, Jennifer serves on the Board of Directors for the Mill Valley Soccer Club where she focuses on fundraising to support scholarships for young athletes. She is an active member of MG+M Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Jennifer served on the Board of Directors for the League to Save Lake Tahoe for six years from 2012 to 2018.
