With over 15 years of experience in drug development with experience in small molecules and biologics, I am passionate about discovering and advancing innovative and effective drugs for various diseases. Previously, I was the Vice President of Research at Aurinia Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare and autoimmune diseases. There, I led the strategic planning, design and execution of the pipeline programs in addition to supporting voclosporin, which received FDA approval for lupus nephritis in 2021. I also initiated the translational biomarker plan to support the transition from to bench to the clinic, contributed to the business development activities of the company by supporting in-licensing efforts as well as the management, and mentoring of a talented team of scientists. I have a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of British Columbia, where I studied the dendritic cell signaling. I am passionate about advancing the field of experimental medicine and translating scientific discoveries into clinical benefits for patients. I have multiple publications, patents, and awards in this field, and I am always eager to learn new skills and collaborate with diverse partners. As an independent consultant, I aim to leverage my expertise, experience, and network to support the development of breakthrough therapies that can improve the lives of millions of people.
