My primary focus as a reporter is to produce one to two stories for the next day's issue of the Summit Daily News. I primarily cover business, real estate, Summit County government and health, though I also pick up the occasional transportation and crime and public safety story too. Each day, I complete in-depth reporting through extensive interviews and thoughtful writing so our readership stays well-informed about need-to-know topics and issues occurring close to home.

As the editor of Biz 417, my role is to plan and assign all issues of a bi-monthly magazine. In doing so, I ensure our content reflects our reader demographic through the tone and structure of every story. In addition, I write and coordinate two newsletters, run and organize editorial contests, prepare for and execute advisory board meetings and network with community leaders.

As an editorial assistant, my role focused heavily on writing food, news, lifestyle and home content. I also assisted with editorial contests and wrote cover stories for both 417 Magazine and 417 Home.

I was contracted by Edison Research to work as a Voter Reporter for the Missouri Election. My responsibility was to call in county vote results as they were released throughoutthe night. Major news organizations including ABC, CNN, CBS and NBC News use these results to report on the election.
