In order to get more engaged with our church and community, I accepted a teaching role at Roswell Presbyterian church. I enjoy the challenge and stimulation of working in an engaging learning environment that incorporates music, creative movement, and auditory / visual stimuli. My responsibilities also include maintaining open communication with parents and various stakeholders associated with the program. This program develops preschoolers in the following areas:• Physical development and motor skills• Social and emotional development • Approaches to play and learning • Communication, language, and literacy • Cognitive development and general knowledge

Senior management asked me to take on this leadership role at Accenture's Supply Chain Ideas Exchange, which served as an innovation and thought leadership center on topics related to supply chain technology and emerging best practices. During this time, I designed, planned and delivered over 30 workshops and educational sessions to C-Level Executives of Fortune 500 companies. Topics were customized to address specific strategic business needs in the following areas:• Supply Chain Strategy• Strategic Sourcing• Transportation and Distribution • Warehouse and Facilities Management Another part of this role involved assimilating key insights from supply chain projects into a knowledge management database. I gained valuable experience with process design, innovation, and development of key performance metrics across a variety of industries. There were also many opportunities to help project teams apply this knowledge to client engagements across the global organization.

Upon completion of my MBA I accepted a role with the Supply Chain Strategy practice at Accenture. Consulting offered exposure to multiple industries, the opportunity to work with outstanding people, and was a great way to leverage the combination of my Industrial Engineering degree and my MBA. I was promoted to manager ahead of my peer group due to outstanding performance on client engagements in the following areas:• Network Strategy• Strategic Sourcing • Inventory Management • Transportation and Asset ManagementDuring this time I had the opportunity to work in both the US and Europe. Our client engagements drove significant cost savings and network efficiencies while maintaining or improving customer service levels in the utilities and chemicals industries.

Based on my strong academic performance at Georgia Tech and the practical experience I gained in the Co-Op program, I was offered a job to join a management development program at Kendall Healthcare. This company produces sterile bandages and sponges to support surgical procedures and a variety of wound care applications. I was responsible for production plans including production scheduling, raw material ordering and inventory management. As part of the development program, I also spent time as the plant cost accountant and a floor supervisor.• Created strategic inventory system using just-in-time methods, increasing turns across all major categories and better utilizing warehouse space• Ran monthly accounting reports to identify variances and cost cutting opportunities across product groups• Led time study initiative on plant floor to streamline production processes and improve efficiency
