Educator: Responsible for developing and creating age/grade appropriate lesson plans for science/historical/cultural based programs. Facilitating educational programs on natural and cultural history in the Saginaw Valley region, the environment, and survival skills to school groups and community audiences. Naturalist: Responsible for managing the Naturalist Station inside of CNC. Opening and closing the Visitor Center. Responding to patron inquiries on trails, animal observation, and natural features of the Saginaw Valley region. Facilitating adult and family programs on and off CNC property. Community outreach programs at the Midland Farmers Market booth and various other community events. Leading and assisting in adult and family field trips offered by CNC. Educator: Responsible for lesson planning, nature craft development and facilitation, assisting lead Educator with lesson facilitation for groups of 8 – 60 children. Supervision of outdoor playtime and other day camp and homeschool group activities. Leading of nature hikes and facilitating macroinvertebrate and water sampling. Orienteering course development, maintenance, and program facilitation.Other: Responsible for grant research and writing along with assisting the center director and other staff on various habitat management, animal rearing & release/culling, and overall center improvement projects.

Working closely with top level executives on multiple projects throughout the organization, gaining valuable knowledge on environmental policy and procedures that affect government entities, coordinating field research outings, and data research and analysis on various topics in environmental issues. The management of multiple simultaneous projects on a daily bases and worked on research in the following fields: Green Infrastructure, Aquatic Species, Green Chemistry, Earth Day 2014 (Alternative Energy sources), and other mini projects.

Preparation of: breakfast, lunch entree, and afternoon snack as described by the USDA to meet with Child and Adult Care Food Program in accordance with Meal Pattern Requirements. Duties to include but not limited to: scratch cooking, following a recipe, menu planning, general sanitation of kitchen, ordering and maintaining inventory, and processing orders from purveyors.

Facilitating team building activities for unit staff and campers. Facilitating outdoor skills in canoeing, hiking, backpacking, overnight camping, fire building, swimming, geocaching, and archery. Leading groups on offsite overnight and multi-night camping trips. Completing the appropriate paperwork for staff time off, daily & weekly unit scheduled activities, incident reports as need, and requisition forms for equipment and supplies as needed.
