Building next level phishing protection services and web experiences on the Web Defense Team

• Studied the intersection of computational systems and human interaction in order to develop, deploy, and scale web platforms that support our community partners• Designed application user interfaces, evaluated user experience and usability, and developed apps within an Angular/NgRx/Firebase stack• Worked on Causeway, our lab's flagship platform, where students can learn web development while supporting community causes

• Oversaw all operations for UCSC's 36-hour hackathon (one of UCSC's largest events, with 500+ annual attendees)• Facilitated communication among 20+ student organizers across 5 different teams - sponsorship, logistics, marketing, software engineering, and design• Fundraised $40,000+ by partnering with corporate sponsors and managed event budget

• Created a visual identity for the CruzHacks brand and designed all branded materials• Designed the official landing page and worked to curate cohesive, accessible user experiences

Microsoft Word • Explored the future of animation in Microsoft Word Online and implemented a prototype of this vision using Script# • Wrote and executed an engineering plan, designed multiple user interface options for the feature, and tested the prototype with Microsoft Word users in order to gain feedback that will guide future development

• Tutored students on interface design for prototyping and evaluating designs for new information systems• Held weekly tutoring sessions and graded homework assignments for a class of 130+ students

• Taught students age 13 -17 application and game development in C++ and Java• Covered programming fundamentals and computer graphics using SFML and Processing• Created daily lesson plans and guided students through developing their own applications and games
