Mission Assurance Manager
Responsible for leading the Quality, Safety and Mission Assurance (QSMA) organization for all programs under the System Modernization, Engineering and Sustainment (SMES) Business Unit (BU) reporting to the Global Logistics and Modernization (GLM) Division Director of Global Mission Excellence and Technology (GMET). Perform as the SMES BU Leadership Team’s focal point for all Quality Management System activities related to existing programs, new business development activities, performance issues and concerns. Direct all SMES BU QSMA Program activities and resources including Production, Software, Design and Supplier Quality. These responsibilities include Program Quality Plan maintenance to assure compliance to contract requirements as well as Division, Sector and Corporate quality policies, processes and procedures ensuring the total integration of quality requirements throughout all phases of design, planning, procurement, test, delivery and post-delivery support. Participate in the preparation and approval of project work packages, schedules, cost estimates and budgets.Drive the corrective action process complimentary to the established nonconforming material control system to ensure both timely and effective root cause analyses and preventative actions to support direct responses to Internal Issues, Customer Complaints and Supplier Discrepancies. Identify Quality skills, competencies and training needs to ensure effective QSMA support in meeting mission requirements, and to ensure process and product visibility status is provided to the SMES BU Leadership Team, Division and Sector Senior Leadership.
