Drive and manage the successful execution Human Resource and Talent Management initiatives that promote engagement, growth and sustainability of the US sites. Work with Leadership Team to develop and drive new and refined people programs and services, design and implement leadership and management development training programs, succession planning. Ensure the effective implementation of performance systems and processes that facilitate the focus on individual, department and site-level performance (Key Performance Indicators).

Develop, direct and implement strategic, tailored human resources initiatives for our non-profit organization that supports and advances innovative medical research and excellence in education within the U.S. military. Responsibilities include championing an organizational culture that attracts, retains and values employees, corporate compensation strategy, employee relations, benefits programs, recruitment and retention, employee and leadership development and training.

Oversee the daily operations of Human Resources, Training and Education, and Volunteer Services departments for a 525 employee, 200 volunteer, multi-location regional blood center. Provide strategic direction for areas of responsibility, oversee department budgets, manage compensation programs, and create and implement staff development initiatives for the organization.

Designed, implemented and managed recruiting strategy for corporate, call center and technology staffing. Administered compensations programs, stock option plan, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Employee relations responsibilities included assisting managers with employee counseling and facilitating new employee orientation.

Developed and staffed corporate recruiting department to support annual growth in employees of 40-50% for a multi-location, distribution company. Designed, implemented and managed recruiting strategy. Coordinated relocation needs. Developed and managed in-house temporary agency to support seasonal warehouse staffing needs. Partnered with community agencies, colleges, industry associations, and placement firms to expand candidate pool. Supervised a staff of twelve in California, Kentucky, and New Jersey.
