Place orders per MRP messages (commodities include PCBA’s, electronic components, hardware, software, cables, cable assemblies, machined parts, sheet metal, automation, outside opp assemblies), obtain confirmations, expedite and defer orders per MRP messages. Maintain good working relationship with vendors, co-workers across departements, and management. Communicate and work with production and planning to ensure on time delivery. Monitor past due orders, obtain RMA’s to return defective product for credit/replacement, work with accounts payable on invoicing problems, resolve inventory issues related to incorrect shipments, find and evaluate new vendors, request quotes, keep vendor and pricing information up to date in ERP system, negotiate pricing. Monitor/order parts needed for engineering purchase requisitions and Capital Authority Requests. Monitor and facilitate engineering changes (ECN’s) to full incorporation.

Create and distribute work orders for production, modify work orders accordingly to capture engineering changes and configuration changes, complete and close work orders, issue parts to work orders, help to pick orders when needed, correct inventory issues per daily cycle count, notify engineering of changes needed on Bills of Material, work closely with manufacturing and customer service to ensure on time delivery of product, track shortages and stay in communication with purchasing to ensure on time delivery, return un-needed parts to stock, track sales order backlog, help out in receiving and shipping when necessary, process Capital Authority Requests and Purchase Requisitions.
