Organized and supervised athletic and academic activities for elementary students in an after-school program.; As part of my master’s degree program and principal internship I substituted for assistant principals on both my current and former (Highland Middle School) campus on a regular basis. While serving in this capacity I handled discipline issues with students, addressed student issues with teachers, supervised teachers on duty in the mornings, supervised students during lunches, throughout assemblies, and after school, assisted with routine drug testing, supervised a drug-dog search, conducted investigations for discipline infractions, and worked out scheduling issues when my campus was short on substitutes. * As part of my internship I also devised and help implement rules and regulations for my current campus’ in school suspension program, created and implemented rewards in a school-wide student incentive plan, attended district-wide principal meetings, and played a role in creating the vision and mission statement for my current campus.* For the last two years, I have served on my campus’ planning and action committee. This committee helps make decisions about various instructional issues on the campus. * This year, I am serving on my district’s planning and action committee. This committee assists district officials in decision-making that concerns the campuses directly. * I organized the administration of a district-wide survey for my previous campus. * I helped organize the 6th grade awards assembly and health fair at my former campus.* While at North Side High School, I served as the team leader for a team of freshman teachers. As team leader, I attended a state-wide conference on cross-curricular lessons. I also facilitated a cross-curricular lesson throughout my team, that year.
