- I lead a small and dynamic, geographically spread team responsible for ANZNZ's Wholesale Portfolio Management. I also co-lead ANZNZ's Climate & Environmental Sustainability Programme, with our Sustainability Strategy Manager, advancing ANZNZ's work towards a lower-carbon future. - Through the Climate & Environmental Sustainability Programme, I'm responsible for driving the work that will underpin ANZNZ's climate related financial disclosures, and ultimately embedding climate risk management considerations into everything we do.- My Portfolio Management team is responsible for 2nd line risk oversight of wholesale portfolios (~$90b of assets across Business, Agri, Commercial Property, Institutional) and we produce all reporting out of Wholesale Risk Management to executive teams, board, regulators & ratings agencies.- I work closely with stakeholders in first line governance and customer-facing roles, global enterprise risk, and other parts of NZ risk to set & manage risk appetite; design and monitor metrics; help develop & guide strategy; and embed risk culture.- I act as an information conduit and data translator, bringing together information from disparate sources to ensure stakeholders are well informed to make decisions in this highly complex and rapidly changing environment. This involves reading widely and drawing on my network of subject matter experts to stay abreast of evolving risks such as climate change (impacts and transition risk), global macroeconomic changes, industry disruption, regulatory and legislative changes.

Providing insights, developing and driving strategy to shape the NZ Commercial portfolio. Working in partnership with other areas of Wholesale Risk and the front line to embed risk culture in the Commercial & Agri business.

Conducting credit analysis and writing for new transactions, complex and early-stage stressed deals.

Managing the bank's work-out of distressed property & corporate assets, sale of portfolios and exit from the New Zealand market. Loan size ranges from NZ$20m-$350m and portfolio includes a number of developments with highly complex legal issues and multiple funders. Assets include completed apartment blocks, hotels under construction, and large englobo land banks.

Responsible for: management of repo / reverse repo positions; FI/NBFI counterparty credit lines; overall responsibility for monitoring the leveraged portfolio performance (participations and bilateral deals), sanctioning of private banking, property finance and treasury credit requests.

Managing the bank's relationship with stressed and distressed borrowers, predominantly property developers and corporates. Deal size typically £200k-£25m.

Managing the bilateral relationships of a portfolio of corporate borrowers with turnover of up to £20m. Transaction execution, including financial modeling and analysis, preparing credit applications, presenting same to Credit Committee, preparing Heads of Terms, and liaising with external lawyers to document transactions.

Managing the bilateral relationships of a portfolio of Middle Market companies.

Assessment and sanctioning of residential, small business and unsecured personal lending outside of branch delegated discretion and/or bank policy.Responsible for credit approvals and related staff training for 32 branches. Facilitating regional training sessions and one-to-one coaching, as required.
