• Provide advice and technical guidance to management on human resources policies, practices, procedures, and matters affecting working conditions. • Guide management/executives through current cases, potential employee issues and issues related to the National Treasury Employees Union. • Assure adherence and implementation of collective bargaining agreements. • Advise on performance management and disciplinary actions. • Case experience includes Conduct, Employee Tax Matters, Travel Card Misuse, Performance, and Grievances. • Prepare and review proposed disciplinary, non-disciplinary and adverse employment actions including letters of suspension/removal, alternative discipline agreements, letters of reprimand/admonishment and performance improvement plans. • Develop action plans and develop training material. • Provide professional and timely customer service to all levels of management, including front-line managers, senior management and executives. • Assist General Legal Services attorneys on compiling case information for cases that are appealed to the Merit System Protections Board as well as any assistance needed from labor relations throughout the case process. • Update all open cases in the Automated Labor and Employee Relations Tracking System (ALERTS). • Research technical issues and provide correct advice and guidance to management using research tools available, i.e. ALERTS, National Agreement, Internal Revenue Manual, Sharepoint sites, etc. • Work with staff members to create and present outreach sessions on a range of labor relations topics. • Closed over 500 cases meeting time measures. • Provide leadership with monthly case updates and cycle times. • Act as Family Medical and Leave Act (FMLA) point of contact to assist managers and employees with FMLA filing and processes. • Performance Awards for last 8 years with outstanding rating
