I was a licensed pharmacy technician as required by GA pharmacy law in order to see patient information. I was responsible for licensing three pharmacies in their home states as well as other states as required by law, gathered all required information to do so, renewed the pharmacy licenses as needed, responded to state boards of pharmacy as required, corresponded with pharmacists in charge of the pharmacies. My assistant duties included schedule keeping, travel arrangements, monitoring emails and other correspondence, answering phones and any other necessary tasks.

I worked directly with the pharmacist in charge. I was responsible for licensing the pharmacy in other states as required, was a licensed pharmacy technician in order to do prescription entry, kept the PIC schedule, making travel arrangements as needed for marking, national conferences and his speaking engagements.

I worked in the commercial insurance department. I was an assistant for two account managers who worked for multiple producers in the agency. I was responsible for customer service, writing letters, making sure poles came in correctly, filing, mail distribution, helping other assistants when needed, helping at the front desk as needed, making sure renewals were completed in a timely manner and making sure poles did not cancel for non-payment of premium.

I worked in the personal lines department as a licensed property and casualty insurance agent. I helped customers with their home, auto and umbrella insurance needs. I did this in the office as well as over the phone. I created good working relationships with insurance company underwriters in order to better serve our customers.

I worked in the retail pharmacy the first couple of years. I helped customers both in the pharmacy and over the phone. I adjudicated prescriptions, obtained prior authorizations, faxed physician offices for refills. I then worked in the infusion pharmacy. I was responsible for inventory, filing patient charts, coordinating prescriptions with the nursing and delivery departments, called for patient labs for the pharmacist to review, answered phones and helped patients that came into the pharmacy.
