About Jennifer Guy
Hello,Thank you for visiting my profile page, here’s a bit about me and my background.I am an experienced Head of Talent, Learning and Development, my passion has always been in developing people, providing leadership support, qualifications and apprenticeships and early careers.Previously I was the Head of Learning/Talent and Development at various companies including Greencore, A-Safe, Boohoo and Clipper logistics. Some exciting projects included an award winning Degree Apprenticeship programme with Sheffield Hallam University, being a Yorkshire Business Insiders Young Professionals award Judge for 2 consecutive years, creating & embedding company competencies & behaviours, implementing brand new LMS platforms and instant access learning across varied teams and embedding performance management models. Earlier in my career I was L&D People Manager at Morrison’s Supermarkets PLC; where I worked for 13 years. After graduating with a first class honours degree in Business & Management, I was lucky enough to get a graduate position at Morrison’s, with every intention of moving into Marketing at head office. However, shortly after I joined, I was asked to help out with training Customer Services to some new store staff, and I absolutely LOVED it. I knew then I wanted to work with developing people, and have a career in HR. In 2004, the work with Safeway’s enabled me to move into the training department full time, after I worked in the Morrisons Academy to support Retail, Head office, Logistics/Supply Chain, Manufacturing. I've been really lucky to have some fantastic managers and mentors, who have supported me through gaining various qualifications. I am qualified in personality profiling through being both an Insights Practitioner & MBTI practitioner, I am a qualified Realise2 Strengths practitioner, a qualified NLP practitioner; I hold a CIPD level 7 L&D Post Graduate Diploma & ILM level 5 in Coaching and I've recently gained my MBA and I am an active Executive in Residence @ Sheffield Hallam University, and Yorkshire Business Insiders Young Professionals Award Judge for 2022 & 2023.
